I have got several A700 with serial numbers from c:a 14000 to 20200 and I have been quite successful in refurbishing them.
The 14000 one was the most troublesome one and I think it has been located in a little bit acidic environment because for ex. the fuse holders and worse the vu meter is showing some rust around the coils and needles. The right one is not moving freely above -20dB and I cannot find the reason, maybe rust somewhere. The needle broke off but I succeeded to glue it with super glue.
I’m a bit out of good ideas now so maybe you have got some good idea or possibly you could repair it for me?
